Duty Drawback 2018:  New Rules to Simplify Duty Refund Program

This year an estimated $2 billion owed by the U.S government to eligible businesses will go unclaimed. The funds are available through a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) initiative called , which offers businesses a refund of up to 99 percent of certain import duties and taxes paid on products that are subsequently exported or destroyed.
